Everyone should have a decent tuna salad recipe in their arsenal, whether you’re doing keto or not. It’s a cheap, easily-made, nutritious food that makes for a great sandwich or component for a mixed greens salad. This one combines mayo, sour cream, cheese and chopped egg to spike your tuna with a variety of healthy fats, and used crispy bacon crumbles for texture and an extra pop of taste.
Keto Tuna Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 can of tuna, drained
- 1 large boiled egg, chopped
- 2 tablespoons bacon crumbles
- 1 tablespoon chives or green onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon fresh dill (or ¼ tsp dried dill)
- ¼ teaspoon lemon pepper
- 3 tablespoons cheddar cheese, grated
- Flaky sea salt (like Maldon or Fleur de sel and freshly ground freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients. Top with crumbled bacon. Serve on keto bread, keto crackers or mixed into a bowl of leafy greens and mixed veggies.
