I recently had the opportunity to visit Everything Keto, a specialty store in Langley, BC that is exactly what the name implies, a one-stop shop for a wide variety of low-carb and keto lifestyle support products. One of their flagship offerings is their F-Carbs baked goods, which the bake offsite and sell in their store. I picked up a few of their products and decided to write a review of them.

I only bought some of their cookies and cheesecakes, and decided not to go for their bread or bagels. My reason for this is that the main ingredient for their bread products is gluten flour, which while low-carb, still carries many of the negative qualities associated with bread made from wheat flour as gluten is the main thing that causes intolerances to wheat. If they decide to start making a gluten-free version of their bread some time in the future, I’ll be sure to give it a try. In the meantime, let’s talk about their desserts.

F-Carbs Ferrero Rocher Mini Cheesecakes Review

All of the F-Carbs mini cheesecakes are meant to be stored in the freezer and thawed before eating. You can either thaw them in the fridge overnight or on the counter at room temperature an hour or so before eating. I took mine out and waited patiently for it to thaw before diving into it.

Now, I love a good cheesecake, but it’s not such a hard thing to make at home, so why would I even consider paying $21 for 6 mini cheesecakes? Well, a specialty flavour like F-Carbs’ Ferrero Rocher definitely piqued my interest. Well-crafted and presented, on first glance, you really do feel that you’re getting a special treat. A favourite of the creators, the taste and texture is truly reminiscent of a Ferrero Rocher in mini-cheesecake form. They are sweet and rich like you would expect from cheesecake, but not cloyingly so. They were just right for my taste, and they use erithrytol, xylitol, and liquid stevia as the main sweeteners.

While I would never make this a regular purchase because of how expensive it is, I could see buying them as a treat for a special occasion or gift. That being said, I tend to prefer baking things myself as gifts simply because it’s a labour of love, but if I didn’t have time to, these are great.

F-Carbs Chunky Monkey Cookies

The chunky monkey cookies with their traditional combo of nuts, chocolate chips and banana, uses banana extract, almonds and coconut flour to keep it low-carb, along with the same combo of sweeteners used in the cheesecakes.

These cookies are truly delicious, and exactly the taste and texture I would expect from this cookie type. While I would usually just make my own cookies because it’s not that hard to do, but at $7.49 for a pack of 6, these aren’t so expensive that I would consider buying them for a camping trip or if I just happen to be in the neighbourhood and feel like a bit of a treat.

Overall Impressions of F-Carbs Baked Goods

The F-Carbs baked goods are pricier than the ones offered at Style Me Sweet, also I’m Langley, their offerings are different in style and flavours. There is more variety at the latter, but it is a dedicated bakery and their products are stored refrigerated intended for prompt consumption. They also appear to only do full-sized cheesecakes or cheese cake slices, as opposed to mini cheesecakes I’m their own cups. I also didn’t see chunky monkey cookies at SMS.

Would I buy these products again? Probably, just not as often due to the price. Either way, I’m still glad to see more variety in quality keto products coming into the market. It’s a win for us all who are local and doing the keto lifestyle.
