Don't you hate it when you don't have a convenient frozen treat like ice cream that's low-fat and free of refined sugar and chemical preservatives to accompany your favourite carb-up desserts? Why not make your own? With only 3 ingredients and minimal prep time, there's no reason not to!
Greek Vanilla Frozen Yogurt Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 cups 0% fat greek yogurt
- ¼ cup raw honey
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Optional added flavours: ½ cup of fresh or frozen berries, 2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder (for chocolate-flavoured), or add-ins of choice.
Directions:
Stir together all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add the mixture to your ice cream maker (*I use the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker.)
Churn for 30-40 minutes or until consistency is reached with your ice cream maker.
Freeze for 2 hours. Remove for 1-2 minutes before scooping and serving. Serve with your favourite carb-up desserts like apple crisp or bananas foster.
