The holiday season is upon us and what better way to start celebrating than to make a batch a Christmas classic: egg nog, but with a keto spin. Egg nog is easy to make and way better when it's homemade vs store-bought anyway, so why not skip the sugar and make it right for not just the keto diet but for anyone who wants to cut refined sugar out of their diet!

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Beat the egg yolks well until they turn light in color, adding 1/2 cup of the erithrytol and stevia drops as you beat.

  2. Add the almond milk, cream, and liquor. Grate half the nutmeg seed into the mix. (*Note: You CAN make this recipe without the booze, as indicated, but it’s WAY better with it.)

  3. Beat the egg whites with the remaining erithrytol and stevia drops until they peak. Fold the whites into the mixture.

  4. Pour into glasses, top with freshly grated nutmeg and serve.

Of course, you don't have to use this particular blend of booze in your egg nog. I've seen it done with brandy, even cinnamon whiskey, just make sure that whatever kind you use, it's sugar-free if you want to make it keto-friendly.
