I love a good burger, but there are so many different ways of doing them. This keto-friendly Greek-style lamb oregano and feta burger recipe with its fresh and cream yogurt mint sauce is an incredibly flavourful take on the classic burger that does not make you ask "Where's the beef?"
Keto Greek Lamb Oregano and Feta Burgers with Yogurt Mint Sauce Recipe

- ¼ cup red onion, coarsely grated
- 2 tablespoons dry red wine, chilled
- 2 tablespoons fresh oregano, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon [flaky sea salt (like Maldon or Fleur de sel
- 2 teaspoons black pepper, freshly ground
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 5 oz feta cheese, crumbled
- Avocado oil, for cooking
Yogurt Mint Sauce Ingredients:
- ½ cup homemade high-fat yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
- 1 tablespoon fresh mint, finely chopped
- 1½ tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- [Flaky sea salt (like Maldon or Fleur de sel, to taste
Assembling Ingredients:
- 4 large lettuce leafs (or keto buns)
- 2 small handfuls of arugula leaves
- 4 large, thick slices fresh tomato
Directions:
First, prepare the patty mixture. Combine all the patty ingredients except for the feta and avocado oil. Using clean hands, kneed the mixture together until well combined and a little sticky. Cover and put in the fridge for 2 hours.
To make the yogurt mint sauce, stir together all the ingredients. Season with salt to taste. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
When ready to cook your patties, add in the feta to the patty mixture and work it through until well-distributed. Form into 4 patties.
Bring your outdoor grill or cast-iron skillet on the stove to medium heat. Brush the grates with avocado oil or add to your skillet. Drizzle a little avocado oil over your patties then cook them to your liking (around 4 minutes on each side should get them to medium doneness).
Cover the bottom halves of your buns or lettuce leaves with yogurt sauce then add your patties, arugula and tomato, topping it off with a little more mint sauce. Cover with the top half of your lettuce or bun and serve on its own or with my keto Greek roast rutabaga as a side dish.
