Need a quick, healthy salad dressing that works on almost anything? This low-carb Italian dressing combines all the classic flavours you have come to associate with it but none of the preservatives and no added carb-based thickeners. It also makes for a great marinade for meats.
Keto-Friendly Italian Dressing Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup red wine vinegar (*white wine vinegar also works)
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ tsp Italian sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- ¼ teaspoon dried parsley
- 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons, grated Pecorino Romano cheese (optional)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a salad dressing shaker bottle.
Allow the dressing rest overnight in the fridge to let the flavours blend. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. If the oil solidifies, simply run the jar under warm water, or take it out of the fridge an hour before serving.
