You always end up with more cookies than you need in the house around Christmas anyway, so why not use them to make delicious keto-friendly cocktails like this sugar cookie martini? Since you only usually have one of these decadent boozy treats, I like to make it count with all the garnishes. It really adds to their enjoyment in my opinion.

Sugar Cookie Martini Recipe

Ingredients:

  • A small handful of keto sugar cookie crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons sugar-free caramel syrup (plus 1 extra teaspoon to rim glass)
  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1½ oz Keto Irish cream
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • ⅛ teaspoon a href="https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0000VLU0I/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=15121&creative=330641&creativeASIN=B0000VLU0I&linkCode=as2&tag=westcoastjiuj-20&linkId=70ee41f3d7e8a0634276669f25bfbd4a" target="_blank">pure vanilla extract
  • ⅛ teaspoon pure almond extract
  • Keto whipped cream

Directions:

  1. Add 1 teaspoon of caramel syrup to a plate and cookie crumbs to another plate. Dip rim of martini glass sugar-free caramel syrup then into sugar cookie crumbs.

  2. In cocktail shaker, add several ice cubes and all the ingredients except cookie crumbs. Shake until cold.

  3. Pour martini into glass; top with a dollop of whipped cream and a few more cookie crumbs and serve! I highly recommend making multiple drinks at the same time because everyone will want one when they see yours anyway. ;)

The gingerbread martini was one of my favourite sweet Christmas cocktails for a long time. As I approached the holidays, I wondered if I would be able to make a keto-friendly version. It took some doing, but I made it happen.

Admittedly, you have to make a lot of your own ingredients to pull this off so it's not something you can just do off the cuff. Since it's the holidays, you're more likely to already have the homemade liqueurs ready to go, same for the gingerbread cookies and ice cream. So yeah, this drink is pretty much reserved for the Christmas season, but hey, it's okay to have things that are reserved for special occaions.
