The inability to travel to the States due to the pandemic and visit Portland, I decided to try and replicate the experience that "Killer Burger" offers their customers in said city. To do so, I had to hammer out a keto-friendly version of the "Killer" burger sauce recipe, which is added to all their burgers. It's hard to say how well it replicates the sauce, but I sure do like it!
Keto-Friendly Version of the "Killer Burger" Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- ½ cup homemade avocado mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons homemade sugarless BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons stevia-sweetened ketchup
- ¼ teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons keto bread and butter quick pickles, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- Fine sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Directions:
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, bbq sauce, ketchup, and mustard.
Stir in the Worcestershire, pickles and seasonings. Set aside until you're ready to use it.
