Having a good bagel base means it's easy to explore bagel flavour variations. I felt this savoury sun-dried tomato Asiago cheese bagel was a good one to start with, something with the freshness the carries the promise of the summer to come.
Sun-Dried Tomato Asiago Cheese Bagels Recipe
Ingredients:
- keto grain-free bagel recipe
- 2 tablespoons sun-dried tomato in olive oil, drained and chopped
- 4 tablespoons Asiago cheese, finely grated (Parmesan reggiano also works)
Directions:
Follow the directions of the keto grain-free bagel recipe. I use this silicon bagel mould
When you're at the point when the flour has been mixed in form the dough, mix in the sun-dried tomatoes and 2 tablespoons of the Asiago cheese. Top each bagel with 1 teaspoon grated Asiago before baking, following the same directions as the keto grain-free bagels recipe. (*Egg wash not needed.)
Serve toasted for best texture, topped with cream cheese (blended with chopped fresh basil for a nice herby addition), butter, or a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
