The gingerbread martini was one of my favourite sweet Christmas cocktails for a long time. As I approached the holidays, I wondered if I would be able to make a keto-friendly version. It took some doing, but I made it happen.

Admittedly, you have to make a lot of your own ingredients to pull this off so it's not something you can just do off the cuff. Since it's the holidays, you're more likely to already have the homemade liqueurs ready to go, same for the gingerbread cookies and ice cream. So yeah, this drink is pretty much reserved for the Christmas season, but hey, it's okay to have things that are reserved for special occaions.

Keto Gingerbread Martini Recipe

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Combine the Irish cream liqueur, vodka, coffee liqueur, gingerbread syrup and ice cream in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake well. Pour into four chilled martini glasses.

  2. Top each with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkling of cinnamon and gingerbread cookie crumbs. Drink it up! This recipe makes 1 drink, but feel free to make multiple drinks to be more efficient.

Did you manage to make this drink and all its ingredients? If so, well done! I applaud you. I hope whoever got to drink it appreciated how much effort went into its creation. If you do make this drink, let me know how it goes in the comments and if you post pics on Instagram, tag me so I can see your creation. :)
