I wanted to make a pizza that would use up a lot of crumbled sausage that I had left over. Since sausage goes so well with fennel, I figured, why not do a sausage fennel pizza? No need for any extra toppings, though I felt that an extra pop of garlic wouldn't hurt, and would marry in well the marinara and the mozzarella. All in all, a delicious pizza in the end.

Keto Sausage Fennel Pizza Recipe

  1. Prepare your choice of keto pizza crusts and allow to cool. If using the sourdough pizza crust recipe, you do not have to wait for it to cool.

  2. Preheat oven to 450F (or maintain heat at 350F for sourdough pizza crusts). Spread the marinara sauce over the crusts. Top with the cheese then the fennel, garlic, and lastly the sausage.

  3. Cook in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes (or 17-20 minutes for sourdough pizza crust) or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  4. Remove from oven and sprinkle with basil leaves, chill flakes and grated parmesan cheese (if using). Slice and serve.
